Parking by Venue & Public Transportation

Our public transportation system connects space travelers from all corners of the galaxy, offering safe and efficient commutes between planets and galaxies.

Greetings extraterrestrial enthusiasts

We’re thrilled to have you joining us for the UFO Festival! We strongly recommend utilizing interstellar ride-sharing, public spacecraft transportation, or walking to the event whenever feasible. It’s vital to keep an eye out for street closures related to the festivities, secure your spacecraft and always stay alert for any extraterrestrial pedestrians.

For events requiring spacecraft shuttle service, we have arranged a central pickup location at the intersection of 9th and Main, just southeast of the Roswell Convention Center. You can quickly spot it by looking for the “Star Wars” themed trash bin.

To locate public spacecraft parking options during the UFO Festival, kindly refer to this continuously updated map.

Please take note:

  • Purple = Public parking

  • Red = No public parking or street closure

  • Yellow= Parking permit required

  • Blue = See details

Parking note

If you are parking along a downtown street, please park so that your tires are within 18 inches of the curb. Roswell follows the New Mexico Uniform Traffic Ordinance, which stipulates that no person may

  1. Open the door of a vehicle on the side near moving traffic unless it is reasonably safe to do so, and the door can be opened without interfering with the movement of traffic; or
  2. Leave a door of a vehicle open on the side of the vehicle near moving traffic for a period of time longer than necessary to load or unload passengers.
