From Bartók to Webern: Classical and Experimental Music of the 1930s and 1940s with the Giovanni String Quartet

June 30 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$20.00

The Roswell Symphony Orchestra in partnership with the Roswell Museum and the RMAC Foundation present the Giovanni String Quartet of Albuquerque for an after-hours performance in the Roswell Museum’s original 1937 Founders Gallery during the 2023 UFO Festival. The evening will honor the Museum’s 85th anniversary year and the Roswell UFO Incident with compositions drawn from the 1930s and 1940s, a time of innovation and change in chamber music. Music will feature compositions by Hungarian Béla Bartók and Viennese Modernists Alban Berg, Arnold Shoenberg and Anton von Webern, among others. Enjoy a selection of locally-made desserts during intermission, included with your ticket. A wine and beer cash bar will be available pre-show through intermission.
